Mazda specifies a low-viscosity 0W-20 oil for the Skyactiv-G engines (e.g. Castrol EDGE or Mobil 1 0W-20). The spin-on oil filter is a small, inexpensive item — MANN-FILTER, Bosch and MAHLE are the usual OE-quality brands.
